Sign in with your University of Helsinki account
- Use the University of Helsinki’s single sign-on.
- You can update your account details or change the password for the account you used to sign in.
- If you don’t have a University of Helsinki username yet or you’ve forgotten your password, use one of the methods below.
Sign in with Suomi.fi e-Identification
- Use Suomi.fi to sign in if you have a Finnish personal identity code.
- With Suomi.fi, you can activate your username or reset a forgotten password.
- Your official names obtained during identification will be updated in the University’s records.
Sign in with eIDAS
- Use eIDAS to authenticate with national eIDs from 20+ EU countries.
- Available only if you do not have a Finnish personal identity code.
- You may have to verify a code sent to the email address or phone number in the University's records.
- Your official names obtained during identification will be updated in the University’s records.
Sign in with Candour ID
- Use the Candour ID app on your smart device together with your passport or an official ID card.
- Available only if you do not have a Finnish personal identity code.
- Before using Candour ID, you must verify a code sent to the email address or phone number in the University's records.
- Your official names obtained during identification will be updated in the University’s records.
Sign in with a one-time password
- If other methods are not available to you, contact the IT Helpdesk for identity verification.
- After verification, the IT Helpdesk will provide a one-time password that lets you sign in to MyAccount to activate your account or reset a forgotten password.
- Before entering the one-time password, you must verify a code sent to the email address or phone number in the University's records.
